Okay, just two for today's Konadicure post ....

First one was done last week! Also, which I was too lazy to blog about... but here goes!

Hello Kitty

umm~ I'm not really into wordy posts right now so the pictures will suffice for this Konadicure post!

....that's why I named it after the most famous cat in the universe!

although the bows aren't identical to the real Hello Kitty's one.

Today's Konadicure post is up: fresh-from-the-oven Konadicure! So you better enjoy this post full of pictures!

Ice-Princess

....the name I've given to this blue Konadicure was inspired by my dear friend, Lilian.

I know, I know... I didn't clean the nail polish on my skin properly

This is by far the most difficult Konadicure I've ever done on my nails!! I had to redo a few fingers and that had me frustrated that I was on the verge of giving up!

Hmm...tecnically, I'm not in love with it cause' I personally think that it's weird... First-timer with french tips here, you know!

 

And yes, there are Konadicure designs on the french tip. That was the critical part and the results do not pay off! I can't blame you if you can't see any designs on the tips because I can't either! They just look like random silver lines swiping across the tips

they are designs of leaves by the way...

 

BLUE FANATIC!!!        (that's my reflection on the ornament! hehe)

even the Christmas tree ornament I was holding is blue.

 

Honestly, this is the first time I've tried hot blue nails. hehe~

 

I wonder...does the flash make the Konadicure look better?

At one point when I realised, I shouldn't have used a blue bauble to model my Konadicure with because the colours crash! So I changed to a golden one!

Very few pictures with the golden bauble though...

 

My fingers look like a mutated spider's legs crawling on the golden bauble! HAHA!

The FIVE nail polishes I used on just one simple-looking yet difficut-to-do Konadicure!

Joe, is that really you?

Joseph Adam Jonas, being a 20 year old young adult by this year, is well known and of course, a chick magnet - that is, popular among young kids female teens. One of the three most admirable Jonas brothers out of the 3 Jonases (Frankie is not included).

Well, I don't know about you but I'm in team Joe Jonas!

He's so deliciously gorgeous that I'd drool on the TV screen each time he appears! I'd even commit a homicide or do whatever it takes to have the honour to even slightly touch him with my pinky finger. I wished to sink my teeth in him like he were a last piece of rich-chocolate fudge cake. He's the dream guy I'd always fantasize about, serenading me with his oh-so-harmonious-smexy-voice and his mad guitar skills!

Have you all forgotten about Joe Jonas already now that Twilight is the new black? Well, let me refresh your memory!

Why is he so hot, ah?

I don't know how many bazillion years ago were these two pictures above taken. But there's only one thing for sure, he is mad cute!

BUT WAIT!

Hold your horses! That's not him. That WAS him!

Disappointingly as it sounds,  he changed. A LOT! He became....erm...a total turn-off!

Have you seen his lastest hairdo on E-news? What's up with that mane of his now?! Haven't paid a visit to the hairstylist in a long time, I'd say!

I have to admit, quite sexy, you know? He wanted a change of a different hairstyle so be it! Celebrities can't look the same throughout their lifetime!

Haven't you clean-shaved yet?!?! A total turn-off man! The stubble made him look 30 years older! He totally looks very haggard and restless.

I'm soooo unsure whether that hairdo of his is completely and naturally curly or not! Or is that a wig? Truth to be told. I'm sorry, but Nick Jonas pulls off the curly look better.

One question - What have you done to Joe Jonas?! Give the young and charming Joe back!! It's so depressing, as a fan, to see that he has changed so disastrously.

Case 29

Recently, fatty Snowy has been eating a lot! That's odd.

I had to refill her plate with dried dog's food twice a day! On a usual basis, she doesn't even lay a paw on the food for a week cause' she eats cooked chicken meat with rice everyday. These dried goods are meant for her snacks.

One fine day, I had a brainstorm and it struck my mind that it wasn't Snowy who has been eating the food all this while! She has been inside the house the whole day when the food was outside and it was always partially gone by the end of the day!

Who could be the one who has made the food magically disappear everyday? Or what could have abducted it?


Only one thing can be done!!

It is up to me to begin sleuthing for the missing food!

So I tracked down the time, filled up the plate with scrumptious bait food and constantly peered outside the window at the mountain-filled plate while Snowy was sleeping inside.

Finally, luck was with me and I caught the thief! It was a stray cat

awww~ How's adorable! but don't get fooled by this mischievous little kitty cat!

It did not scram as I expected it would. It just kept on staring at me even when I shouted at it.......

........ it ignored me and continued to feast on Snowy's food. Even when Snowy came out and was merely few feet away from it, the cat pretended to be oblivious

Let the war begin!!!


Eventually, my dog won and the cat scrammed frighteningly, leaving only its last terrifying words...

Telbru's 'Let's Shop!' contest

(They canceled it on my birthday? -_-" Besides, I wasn't free anyway)

TelBru continued its promotional series of events this year with ‘Let’s Shop’, a fun-filled occasion that have seen hundreds of its loyal customers who battled it out for top shopping honours on the grounds of Gadong’s busy commercial area on 6th December 2009.

Two hundred and fifty lucky teams, represented by two shoppers each, were drawn by the Telbru's team to participate in this event. Initially, I had no idea about this at all! I didn't even submit any contest forms throughout the 'Let's Shop' campaign period during March to October, and now my mum and I were chosen to have a chance to win fabulous overseas shopping trips! My mum's friend was busy and she couldn't make it, so she gave me the chance to participate in this event.

Supposedly, my mum and her friend were to participate together as a team but like I mentioned, she said that she was going to be busy on that day. She pulled out and registered my name just two days before the event! Like wth?! I missed the briefing which was held on the 20th November '09! So I quickly read through the Shopper's info pack in which my mum was given during briefing.


And my T-shirt was size L having been passed on by my mum's friend.......

.......more like XXXXXL!! This shirt could have been a dress for me!


And boy! I do feel like a yellow version of Sean Kingston. He wears super baggy clothes 24/7 where his short-sleeves are like three-quarter sleeves just like mine!! We have so much in common, don't we?

OoOooh~ I'm a certified 'Let's Shop' shopper!   Sakai, much?

Team mother and daughter!!!

The teams gathered at the foyer of The Mall at 8am (Damn early to be at the Mall!) before setting out on the quest to search for solutions to riddles and puzzles scattered around the area.

And I was in Team 95 with my mummy!

We were given a bag and a tag each along with breakfast and lunch coupons upon registration.

Met up with Maria and her mum! Another mother and daughter team!

Before the game started, Maria's mum offered to swap the T-shirts with me since hers is size M. Frankly speaking, there wasn't much difference. The sleeves were just probably an inch or two shorter than the size L tee.

*Pong! pong! pong~!* These air-filled sound-making thingamajiga seriously makes annoying pong-pong noises!

Bloody hell~! My points couldn't even reach half the total of the third highest point! So we sort off gave up during lunch already. The event started off at 10am and ended at 3.30pm! Bloody shopping-marathon! After we ate the lunch that was provided, we continued filling out stomachs at KFC! HAHAHA! Lazy much! Then off we go again.........to shop for real!

The ice breaker clue which was given to each team before the game started. Unlucky us got a silly clue - A drink with a basil seed And it was stated that it can be found in Jaya Hypermart so we darted to that place! The rest of the clues were to be found in the terminals in the Mall and Centrepoint where you are allowed to log in for i.e. 45 seconds per time. There were 250 teams and only 25 terminals so the queues were quite long!

Okay, so the game goes like this:

Clue : Product- A drink with a basil seed, Place : Jaya Hypermart


If we knew what's the brand name of that particular drink, we could enter the correct answer and have 1 point. If we do not know, we could find the product at Jaya Hypermart but not take it, just remember the brand name and come back to the terminal to enter the answer. Those who use camera to take photos of the product or use the handphone to contact a third party, asking for the answer, would be given a penalty of a deduction of 2 points from the total mark. This is like a test for graphic-memory!

We stayed till the very end of the event. Stayed for the entertainment, prize giving ceremony and light refreshments! And of course, for the goody bag!

*points above*  Each person in a team was given a B$15 B.Mobile top-up card, small Telbru towel, Telbru keychain, Telbru notepad, Telbru pen and a couple of Telbru brochures.

.....AND a certificate of participation!

My mum's certificate has the right name on it but mine has got the name of my mum's friend! Well, no one can be blamed anyway. My registration was last minute! So I made a little alteration to it.......hehe~

Water-slide bouncer

Whenever I slide down the bouncer, I always felt as if I'm throwing up all my internal organs and leaving them behind me! The adrenaline rush when sliding down the bouncer gives me pure excitement!

Technically 'blog-o-sphere' is a real word and, of course, it only exists in the bloggers' world.

    *Hardcore metal/rock song playing*

Sorry to say this but I don't fancy visiting blogs with background music playing which doesn't allow me to stop it! Why, you ask? First of all, if I wanted silence, I don't like sudden loud music interrupting the peace! Secondly, if I were listening to my own music, it hurts my ears whenever different songs are playing together! Lastly, it may not be of my favourite song!

Fortunately, I have a very convenient mute button my my laptop. With just one click, I have the silence back! That is, if your music player does not have the pause or stop function! On the brighter note, I would stay put to listen to the song if it was pleasant.

Just another small party

Yesterday, which was my actual birthday, my two besties, Maria and Lilian, came over to my house to have a Konadicure session!

 We had two large pizzas with four different flavours for lunch - Tuna delight, honey garlic, meat lovers and super supreme! Talk about DELICIOUS!

After dinner, we decided to watch "The Hottie and the Nottie" starring Paris Hilton! However, Lilian went home as early as 8pm when the movie has not ended yet! As for Maria, she was sleepingover!

After we showered and changed into our pjs, we watched another movie "Bring it on: Fight to the finish" starring Christina Millan.



We had Wall's lava (chocolate and vanilla) ice-cream for late supper/dessert.



and got cosy under the blankets while having a movie marathon!



After that, we spent the night watching "Ella Enchanted" starring Anne Hathaway until 3am in the winter-cold living room!!

Maria and I had heart-to-heart talk before going to bed at 4.30am!

I had fun on that day and special thanks to Lilian and Maria for accompanying me on my birthday! I love them!

OKAY! Time for the so called 'official Konadicure pictures'! Closed-up pictures of the Konadicures I did for Maria and Lilian are smudgy. I still can't perfect the skill of applying the top coat!
